PODIUM AND MSRA AGREE TO 11-RACE SLATE
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Feb. 12, 2021) – Podium eSports will broadcast 11 races of the Midwest Sim Racing Association’s Premier Series in 2021, beginning with tomorrow night’s Canterbury RV 500 from iRacing’s Daytona International Speedway.
The MSRA Premier Series is a Saturday night, open-setup league on iRacing using the Class A stock cars. Races mirror the schedule of the NASCAR Cup Series, include stages and run at approximately two-thirds the length of the corresponding real-life race.
“As we got farther into the offseason and spoke more with Podium, it became clear that this was the obvious choice for MSRA to take that next step,” said Midwest Sim Racing Association administrator Jacob Shorba. “I’m looking forward to bringing a very talented cast of drivers to the network on Saturday nights for some of our best races of the season.”
“As a driver myself, I enjoy the challenge of an open-setup league on an oval, so having MSRA’s top series in Podium’s stable means a lot to all of us at the company,” said Podium eSports Chief Creative Officer Gary Sexton. “We look forward to putting the spotlight on the MSRA Premier Series’ largest races in 2021.”
