eNASCAR iRACING PRO SERIES RETURNS TO PODIUM eSPORTS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Nov. 14, 2020) – Podium eSports will broadcast the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Series for the second season running beginning on Nov. 17 with the season opener from Daytona International Speedway. All six Pro Series races will be broadcast on the Podium eSports Twitch channel at twitch.tv/podiumesports.

The eNASCAR iRacing Pro Series is the final step on the road to the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series. Drivers who finished 20th or lower in the 2020 eNCCiS standings season will race with the top 20 drivers in points from the 2020 eNASCAR iRacing Road to Pro. The top 20 drivers from the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Series will complete the roster of 40 drivers for the 2021 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series.

Headlining the list of drivers competing in the 2020 eNASCAR iRacing Pro Series is Zack Novak, the 2019 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series Champion. Joining Novak from the eNCCiS is Nathan Lyon, who finished third in Pro Series points a season ago. Other drivers from the 2020 eNCCiS season competing in the Pro Series include Talladega winner Brandon Kettelle, Twitch streamer Steve Sheehan, and Pro Series veteran Santiago Tirres.

Mitchell de Jong leads the list of drivers coming up from Road to Pro. The VRS Coanda Simsport driver is looking to become the first driver in iRacing history to compete in five different World Championship Series. Allen Boes also returns to the Pro Series as the 2020 Road to Pro Champion and is looking for a return to the top level of stock car sim racing, where he won three races from 2015-2017. Other drivers from the 2020 Road to Pro Season include Landon Cassill Qualifying Challenge winner Eddie Kerner, Twitch streamers Derek Justis and Donovan Strauss, inaugural Podium eSports Daytona 500 Champion Seth DeMerchant, and Richmond Raceway eSports Driver Development program member Garrett Manes.

In 2019, Podium eSports broadcast the Pro Series for the first time. The season set viewership and average live audience records all-time for the series, producing almost 2,000 live views and over 30,000 minutes of watched content. After the 2020 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series set a new all-time high for ratings, the 2020 eNASCAR iRacing Pro Series is expected to do the same. SPEED SPORT’s Jacob Seelman returns to the Podium eSports booth for the Pro Series broadcasts alongside the Voice of Podium eSports, James Pike.
