PORSCHE CLUB OF AMERICA SIM RACING RETURNS TO PODIUM eSPORTS FOR 2020
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Porsche Club of America Sim Racing returns to Podium eSports in 2020. Podium eSports will broadcast both Series 4 and Series 5 of PCA Sim Racing on the iRacing eSports Network.
Porsche Club of America Sim Racing begins its second season in 2020 following a successful debut in 2019. Over 100 PCA members competed across three series and 20 races with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car and the Porsche 911 RSR.
For 2020, PCA Sim Racing will race the Porsche 911 RSR and the newly-announced Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR. The Porsche 911 RSR will contest Series 4 in the Spring, while the 718 Cayman GT4 will contest Series 5 in the Fall. PCA Sim Racing has partnered with Virtual Racing School (https://virtualracingschool.com/) for 2020 to provide setups for both cars. More information on Series 5 will be announced at a later date.
Series 4 will begin on March 6 and run on Friday nights in March and April. New for Series 4 is a three-class system: PCA Pro (drivers with an iRating above 2000), PCA Club (drivers with an iRating below 2000), and PCA Rookie (drivers who have not competed in PCA Sim Racing previously and hold an iRacing Rookie License). Series 4 also includes four brand-new circuits to PCA Sim Racing, including the first two outside of North America. The season will conclude with PCA’s longest-ever race, a 90-minute event at Road America on April 24.
“We are incredibly excited to bring PCA Sim Racing back to Podium eSports for 2020,” said Podium eSports Chief Executive Officer James Pike. “PCA Sim Racing is the cornerstone of our road racing program and we look forward to bringing more of the best broadcasts in sim racing to the 140,000+ members of the largest single-marque car club in the world.”
“PCA Sim Racing is proud to partner with Podium eSports once again for the 2020 season,” said PCA Sim Racing Chairman Doug Atkinson. “PCA Sim Racing events are the only live broadcasted events in all of the Porsche Club of America and we look forward to another exciting season of PCA Sim Racing.”
Podium eSports will produce all broadcasts of PCA Sim Racing. These broadcasts will be shown on the iRacing eSports Network (https://www.youtube.com/iracingesportsnetwork). For more information on PCA Sim Racing, visit https://www.pcasimracing.com.
