PODIUM eSPORTS AND PORSCHE CLUB OF AMERICA ANNOUNCE PCA SIM RACING SCHEDULE FOR FALL 2019
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Podium eSports and the Porsche Club of America (PCA) have announced PCA Sim Racing’s schedule for the Fall of 2019. It features two new series, one new car and the first-ever PCA Sim Racing endurance event: a three-hour endurance race at Spa-Francorchamps.
PCA Sim Racing Series 2 will be the first series from PCA to utilize the Porsche 911 RSR. Drivers will take the GTLM car to seven road courses around the United States in their quest to be the ultimate GTLM driver within PCA.
Following Series 2, PCA Sim Racing will host its first-ever endurance event. The three-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps will be the first PCA Sim Racing event contested by region. Drivers will form teams from their own PCA regions and compete against one another to decide which PCA region is the fastest. Teams will have their choice of competing in either the GT3 class with the 911 Cup car or the GTLM class with the 911 RSR.
Series 3 will return to the 911 Cup car that was successful in Series 1. While the car is the same, the tracks have changed – Series 3 features shorter versions of the most popular circuits in North America, which will provide many opportunities for close-quarters racing.
Porsche Club of America members are happy to see Sim Racing continue as a club program. Series 1 was immensely successful for both PCA member drivers and all who that watched on YouTube. Series 1 had over 70 drivers and nearly 17,000 page views, and Series 2 and 3 will provide the same level of excitement and engagement.
All PCA Sim Racing events will be broadcast by Podium eSports on the iRacing eSports Network. For more information on the Porsche Club of America, visit www.pca.org. For more information on Podium eSports, visit www.podiumesports.com.
