PODIUM eSPORTS SETS WEEKLY SCHEDULE FOR FALL 2019
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Podium eSports will change its weekly schedule, effective August 2019. The new schedule will allow for new series, more special events, and more opportunities for growth at Podium eSports.
Sunday nights will feature two new Podium eSports series, to begin competition on August 4, 2019. The Podium eSports Oval Series will be contested using the Class B and Class C stock cars in a multiclass format. It will be the only broadcasted series on iRacing in which two types of oval cars compete on the same track in the same race. The Podium eSports Road Series will be contested using the Class A stock car exclusively. These two series will alternate Sunday nights, and each series will run a nine-week season. The Oval Series will conclude on December 8, while the Road Series will conclude on December 15.
Monday Madness will be reformatted for August 2019 and beyond. The new Monday Madness will take place at least one Monday each month. It will include iRacing events, but will also be open to other events on platforms outside of sim racing.
Wednesday nights will continue to be Podium eSports’ night for short track racing. The refurbished Super Late Model will feature alongside the Late Model between August and December, with single-night stand-alone events to be held throughout the Fall. The CARS eSport Tour will return for its fifth season in 2020.
On Thursday nights, Podium eSports will broadcast the top split of the NASCAR iRacing Series. Podium’s well-regarded broadcast team will cover even more of the best Class A drivers in iRacing and raise the profile of one of the most popular competitions on the simulation.
Further announcements on the new Podium eSports schedule, including information on the Oval and Road Series, will come in due course. For more information on Podium eSports, visit www.podiumesports.com.
